This piece was started in February of 2021 and completed in August of 2021. The white bison is a sacred sign in Lakota and other Plains Indians religions. It is meant to signify significant change and hope. I wanted to create a piece that spoke of hope after almost two years of the world having to endure Covid. This was my way of representing hope through wildlife, more specifically the bison who has always represented calmness and wisdom to me.
