Alexandra Hansen
Wyoming based contemporary western artist, Alexandra Hansen, is known for her stylized vintage patina oil paintings. She grew up on a ranch in South Dakota and later went on to rodeo for, and study art at Oklahoma State University. She left art school and became a cereal entrepreneur starting and selling small businesses. It would be almost 5 years before she would
pick up a paint brush and remember her true passion in life - creating nostalgic western artwork with pops of color to illustrate her hope for a well lived life.
Over the course of the last few years she has participated in several shows with Abend Gallery, Cheyenne Frontier Days Museum, Coors Western Art as well as several others.
She has served on the board of directors for Spearfish Arts Center and finds artistic volunteering opportunities within her communities integral to her artistic legacy. She paints for several galleries and works on large scale commission collections for both private and commercial spaces.
